The National Trust for Scotland’s archives provides a unique and fascinating insight into both the history of the organisation and the Trust’s properties. The archives collections encompass day-to-day administrative archive files as well as historic documents and manuscripts.
There are two main strands to the NTS archives: the institutional archive and the many and various collections of historic archive collections of family and estate papers, often held at Trust properties.
