Twitter is a form of instant messaging where you can receive updates from friends, family – or Robert
Burns. It’s really easy to join up and receive the updates. Go to www.twitter.com,
click ‘join the conversation’ and put in your details.

After you’ve signed up, look for friends, family or news sources – the BBC has a lot of twitter feeds, a
number of Scottish writers are present - and Burns can be found by going to http://twitter.com/ayrshirebard.
Once you find him, click follow and you’ll receive updates from Rabbie every time you log in to Twitter.

Please note, it’s not spam and nothing goes to your email but it’s incredibly simple and fun to use.
And you can set it up to send messages to your mobile phone, iPod Touch and iPhone as well if you want.
