  The Council of the National Trust for Scotland is the body that ensures that the Trust complies with its core purposes. It sets our policy and supports the Board in its management of the operations of the Trust.

Made up of elected members and appointees from bodies that the Trust works closely with, it meets 3 times a year, with each meeting lasting a day, to discuss issues of importance to the Trust.
